Print Design
Hello! Here is a glimpse into how my mind works when it comes to creating and designing a print. In my process, prints often begin with some form of hand-rendered artwork: sketches, paintings, coffee spills - you name it! I love incorporating personal photography into my work & using it as a base to my final design. Printspiration is everywhere.
This print started with a photo I took of the ocean. I was inspired by the colors, the shapes and the reflections on the water. I began by digitally recreating the shapes I saw in the water & the final version was stylized with textural overlays in Illustrator.
I was walking around in Berlin when I saw these shadows cast on the wall. I love shadows and the unique overlays they create. These shadows influenced this abstract, painterly print I designed for a girl’s studio legging.
A series of watercolor drawings were hand painted, scanned and then manipulated in Photoshop to create this multi-dimensional watercolor camo. This was used in Men’s sportstyle in addition to men’s underwear.
Spray painted items were photographed and then digitally manipulated to create this multi-colored splatter print.
This colorful bubble print was the base for these two painterly inspired camos. Multiple Photoshop layers and overlays helped me create two distinct but similar camos that were used in the same season for girls and men’s basketball.
These two prints were designed for Men’s Basketball and were created from a hand painted, multi-color brush painting. The goal was to create two prints that would compliment each other and kept a painterly marble feel.
